Matrix will only be offering 4 teams this year. Matrix will be consolidating it’s talent and top coaches to produce winning teams. If you feel you have the skills and heart to play on a high level team, we will see you at tryouts. There will be cuts at every level this season.

Coach Brandon did a fantastic job with our 11′s group last year. He has coached from college level athletics to elementary. His focus is on “mechanics”, which will serve the girls well in their future career in volleyball. The team last year learned and trained very hard, and did not notice they had become very good volleyball players because they had so much fun while training. This year he is returning to take the girls to the next level. In addition, Kendra Dow is joining Matrix as an assistant coach for the 12′s team. She has many years of club experience, and is a very positive coach who can really inspire the players. We are very excited to see how the girl’s will perform this year. We have alot of young talent returning with some new additions. Alot of the girls have been doing conditioning and training in the off season. Should be an exciting season, and I expect great things from this team! And now announcing the 2011/2012 Matrix 12′s:

The girls and I are very excited to have Gabriel returning to the Matrix line-up.  Gabriel is a fierce competitor that expects his girls to give him 100% every practice & every game.  Every year Gabriel has produced performing teams.   Coach Pam is a very positive influence on the girls, and always gives alot of herself to see the girls succeed. Announcing the 2011/2012 14′s team:

Coach Katie started playing volleyball when she  was 13. Qualified for 3 Junior Olympic appearances with my 15, 17, and 18s High Country Club Teams based out of Salt Lake City.  She then played 4 years at Idaho State University mainly as an outside hitter and Libero (but have played all positions). After graduating she went on to coach 2 years as the second assistant at Idaho State, mainly running the team as Director of all operations and taking over the defensive players.  She has been coaching club since 18 years old.  In Idaho with Pocatello Elite Volleyball Club, I coached 6 years with 2 Club level championships in 12′s and 13′s , and 1 Power level Championship in 14′s (sending us to the Junior Olympics) from the Intermountain Region.  The following year (last season) we had to move to Utah and I coached a 15′s Power team for Club Xtreme.  Again winning the Power level Championship, and again sending my team to the Junior Olympics.  I look forward to working with the Matrix girls this year, and producing a top team.

We are excited to have Coach Matias joining Matrix again. Matias did a fantastic job with the 15′s last year, especially having so many 1st time players. Matias has played every position, and accels as a hitter. I have played competitively with Coach Matias and he is dangerous! He has many years as a tournament player. Coach Lola is a setter, and the two styles compliment eachother greatly. Get ready 18′s to have a fantastic season.
